Infiniti, Nissan and others have major plans for electric vehicles in the U.S. Infiniti as well as Nissan will introduce new electric models. They will be manufactured in Canton, Miss. Nissan factory. Nissan will invest $500 Million in the factory to improve and train workers for EV production.
Teaser for Infiniti EV
In a separate video, both brands teased new models. Nissan showed only a 1/4 shot of the front, but was less forthcoming. It clearly takes inspiration from the Nissan Ariya’s smooth nose and headlight design. Infiniti’s teaser photo didn’t reveal much but a video teaser showed that the car would be a sedan. Given the popularity of SUVs, this is quite a surprise decision. It is a replica of an Infiniti, with waterfall lighting slats at the front.
These models won’t be available until 2025. They may not be available until 2025. They may not be available until 2023, 2024 or even 2024. These models are part of Nissan’s plan for 23 electrified Nissan models to be introduced by 2030. 15 models will be fully-electric.
Subaru WRX prices rise
2022 Subaru WRX received a complete overhaul with a new chassis, styling, and a larger 2.4-liter turbocharged engine. These upgrades are more expensive. The base manual WRX starts from $30,000. Destination charges are included. This represents an increase of $1680 compared to the model last year. The base price for the entire range is shown below.

- WRX Limited: $36,990
- WRX GT: $43,890
Standard equipment includes alloy wheels of 17 inches, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and two 7-inch screens for climate control, infotainment, and Android Auto. The CVT (subaru-performance transmission) can be ordered for the base model, unlike last year. EyeSight is available as an option, which adds adaptive cruise control to the base model and lane-centering.
The WRX Premium features 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, a color-matched rear spoiler and automatic headlights. It features push-button starting, proximity locking, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, heated mirrors, wiper desiccation, and 11.6 inch infotainment screen. An oil cooler is available in the CVT version.
Limited models feature turn-signal mirrors and curve-adaptive headlights. The interior upgrades include ultrasuede upholstery and a 10-way power driver’s seat, Harman Kardon sound system, 11 speakers, and sunroof. The CVT model includes blind-spot monitoring and navigation. Reverse automatic emergency brake is also available in the CVT model.
GT is the highest trim. This trim adds adaptive shocks to your vehicle and allows you to choose from a variety of driving modes. Recaro front seats and unique wheels are also included. This trim is not compatible with the CVT.
